Hello, everyone.

Congratulations to all students on your successful admission to study at Yeshiva Gedolah of Toronto!

It is with great joy, excitement and honour for me to have this opportunity and the pleasure to wish all students, parents, guardians, teachers and administration & support team the warmest welcome to the 2022-2023 Academic School Year at Yeshiva Gedolah of Toronto.

Selecting a secondary school is one of the most important decisions a student will have to make to learn and grow during the most important four formative years of their life where they will go through the critical process and journey of self-discovery as they transform to become thriving and contributing great people & citizens while being challenged in previously unexplored ways will benefit intellectually, emotionally, and socially.

Here at Yeshiva Gedolah of Toronto, a student is a family member and the most important part of our family of dedicated, caring and passionate teachers and administration & support team who take pride in delivering a rigorous, balanced learning experience complemented by a broad range of strategies focusing on the person-centered and enrichment approach to ensure that a positive impact will happen for each student’s life while they navigate through life with us to not only earn their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with commitment and hard work involved but most importantly, to gain and learn to develop, nurture and grow the required and necessary knowledge and skills to become successful in post-secondary studies and future professional career(s) and overall, to become a well-disciplined citizen and contributor in an ever-evolving society.

At YGT School, we as a family embrace and practice four cores values each accompanied with an inspiring quote that I believe form the heart, spirit and framework of our effective approach to education which is evident in our planned curriculum and school life & community which help our learners become great students and furthermore and ultimately, great people in society.

1. Learning, Growing and Improving

“Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.” – Anthony J. D’Angelo

2. In Pursuit of Excellence

“Excellence is doing ordinary things well in an extraordinary way.” – John Gardner

3. Leading Through Innovative Thinking with Action

“Innovation is a mixture of the old and the new with a dash of surprise.” – Al Etmanski

4. Global Citizenship

“Education gives us a profound understanding that we are tied together as citizens of the global community, and that our challenges are interconnected.” – Ban Ki-moon, Former UN Secretary General

Along with achieving academic progress to earn their respective OSSD and getting themselves accepted into the top universities in the world, students will benefit intellectually, emotionally, and socially as they develop into becoming responsible critical thinking & problem-solving global citizens, guided by the YGT Secondary School teachers and administration & support team of empathy, helpfulness, compassion, and respect for others. YGT Secondary School takes pride in creating a positive and encouraging environment where students enjoy learning, flourish and reach their potential.

I am very thankful and honored to have the wonderful opportunity to work with all students, parents, guardians, teachers, and the administration & support team to help provide a quality education that will equip our learners with everything they need to lead successful, happy and fulfilling lives.

I am looking forward to working with all students and sharing this exciting journey of learning with them for the upcoming 2022-2023 Academic School Year and beyond.

Best wishes and kind regards

Adam Myerowitz
